When Worlds Collide

So, for years now I have been saying that the best Tacos or Burritos I have ever eaten are from Bueno Y Sano, in Amherst, MA. Yet there has been a local fav of mine in many former posts on this blog called "Tacourt" in Brockton, MA I eat there at least once a week if not more.

So the question I always asked myself was what would it be like if I was able to have a burrito from both places at the same time. Clearly if that were to happen my two worlds would collide. How would I handle the fact that once and for all I would be able to compare the 2 burritos and know for sure which is better.

Here's how it went down...

Basically, my co-workers brother who's goes to U-mass and knows of Bueno, was nice enough to bring my co-worker a burrito from Bueno Y Sano. My Co-Worker lets call him "Ronald" had never tried one and I figured perfect opportunity to compare Tacourt to Bueno Y Sano.

So, the day was set, my co-worker was to bring in the burrito for his lunch. I was to get a burrito from Tacourt and put them side by side and await for them to burst into a tiny little burrito fight right there on the table...uhh what...sorry, one can dream can't he.

So anyway there is the best sauce on the planet at Bueno Y Sano and I thought that if I could get this sauce on a Tacourt Burrito it would be the best of both worlds.

Worlds...prepare to collide...

Right: Bueno Y Sano, standard Chicken Burrito

Bring on Bueno y Sano's "Ranchero Sauce" (I would drink this stuff straight)

Bueno: after Burrito Lobotomy

WORLDS COLLIDING!!!

All in all after this experience I would have to say that the sauce is second to none, period. The two Burritos are very different, but both very delicious in their own way. Realizing that I just spent a half an hour to create this post I could really go for a Burrito right about now.

Mangia's, to put it simply...mmm!

Mangia's is a simple classic Resturant serving up some rediculasly tasty pizza. I have tried a few pizzas since it has opened and honestly I think they are one of the better places arround to get the real deal.

So here are some pics of 2 different types of pizza.

"Steve's Potato Bacon"

"This is a real stick to your ribs pizza! Thin sliced potatoes over our shredded mozzarella, covered in a layer of our lean bacon, with a sprinkle of oregano and Asiago."

"The Tuscany" (my fav)

"This is a sauceless pie with a base of shredded mozzerella, topped with our Italian seasoned oven roasted tomatoes, splashed with our homemade pesto, fresh basil, a sprinkle of chopped walnuts, Asigo cheese and crumbled gorgonzola, finished with a sprinkle of Parmesan reggiano."

Overall, Mangias rocks! Try the Tuscany, it's unreal!
