The "BIG Papi" Hits A Grand Slam

So I know that I recently blogged about the "Train Wreck" at The Main Course in Canton. I think that the world should know about another sandwich they make that is with out question becoming my favorite sandwich on earth.

For real, it's that good. This sandwich is for anyone who loves, and I mean loves, Italian cold cuts. The amount of meat in this sandwich is unreal it could probably choke a Bullmastiff. I almost cracked my jaw attempting to get a full bite.

Totally awesome!

Here is what's going on inside "The Big Papi":
Salami, Hot Cappicola, Prosciutto, Fresh Sliced Mozzarella Ball, Roasted Red Pepper, Pesto, Lettuce & Tomato all on Ciabatta Bread.

From NY to Singapore, Whatmikeate.com is a Global Phenomenon!!!

So, I was recently interviewed for the 2nd time on WXBR by host Peter Czymbor to talk about my blog. In addition to discussing local favorite places to eat during this interview:

My brother Matt called from Singapore to talk about what the food is like there.

Durian

Then my sister in-law Liza, Co-owner of Bay Burger called to talk about their amazing classic burger joint.

It was really cool. Give it a listen!

Ole, Cambridge MA

So recently the entire "Resturant Club" ate dinner at Ole, a truley authentic Mexican restuarnt in Cambridge, MA. Let me say this, I had no real expectations other than they make fresh guacamole at your table.

Did they ever...this was so fresh and very good! Not the best, but top 3, for sure.

I ordered Chilli Rellenos which is Two roasted Poblano chiles, one stuffed with mixed Mexican cheeses, spinach, raisins and pine nuts; the other with shredded braised pork. Served on roasted tomato broth and Mexican rice.

Spicey, unique and overall very good. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to go back again.

Ole!

The Main Course, Canton, MA

This local store has everything you would ever want in a local Market. They sell high quality fresh meats, produce and have other standard grocery items as well. They also sell great quality beer and excellent wine.

The sandwiches here are ridiculously huge and delicious. I ordered the "Train Wreck" and it must of had over 2lbs of meat in it. Also it should be mentioned that the meat for this sandwhich was carved on the spot. Freshness is the key.

The entire staff at the Main Course has been extremly friendly and always available to help you. I highly recomend this local market offering great food and a friendly atmosphere.

After much prep, behold...

Bay Burger, Bay Burger, and yes...even more Bay Burger.

This is trip 2 in 2 weeks back to Bay Burger. I was only able to eat there once so I went all out attempting to eat a significant amount of food.

So there you have a "Standard" burger, cooked Medium, Tomato soup (really good), Grilled Cheese sandwich, and a Fry & Tot's Mix (I split with my Mom). I ate it all but 1/4th the grilled cheese.

Sooooooooooo Gooooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!!

"Flo's Steamed Hot Dogs", Cape Neddick, ME A must experience before you die!

http://www.floshotdogs.com/

This Hot Dog Shack is attached to a home. The portion of the building without a pointed roof if the restaurant. Small, but great.

This is the entire resturant...seriously...my head hits the ceiling. I'm at one end with my back against the wall in line. Everyone just stands and waits. Oh...the anticipation!

Its all about the sauce...

So, I took crap from everyone for ordering chocolate milk, and eventually Flo's Granddaughter, who you see here making it all happen by herself, who I have to say is extremely nice, backed me up by telling me that Chocolate Milk was part of the original lunch that everybody used to order. Totally.

Before the moment of truth...

A Masterpiece! 4 Steamed Dogs, Steamed Buns, Hot Sauce, Mayo, Celery Salt. Don't ask, just trust me...very unique, very delicious! I went for 4 but only put down 3. A weak performance if you ask me but 3 was plenty. Also, If you know what I mean by "J", Flo's basically wrote the book on it.

What Matt Ate

Drangon Fruit!
